This course is geared toward developing the skills you will need to plan and conduct empirical research. It will introduce you to the major types of research design, data collection methods, and analytical techniques used by social, cultural and behavioral scientists. Research is a creative process that includes such methods as ethnographies, questionnaires, interviews, fieldwork, experiments, participant observations, archival studies, and domain analyses.
